St David's Day Concert
01/03/2014Brynmawr Market Cinema
This was a very successful concert and a privilege for the choir to return back to the Market Hall in Brynmawr under the new ownership. The soloist for the evening was Peter Totterdale, a tenor originally from Carmarthen but now living in the Neath area. Peter added to the Welsh flavor of the evening by singing some classic welsh pieces such as "My Little Welsh Home" that were very fitting for this evening's entertainment and he was warmly received by a particularly engaging audience.
The Beaufort Sound was immediately abundant as the concert opened with the March of the Men of Harlech. The choir continued to entertain by singing the classic welsh hymns such as Calon Lan, Deus Salutis, Rachie and Gwahoddiad. The music team of Craig and Margaret performed to their the usual high standard and added to a superb evening's entertainment and celebration of Welsh patronage.Back to Concerts
